You are invited to submit an application to the Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest for a Community Service Grant. The application for the Community Service Grant through the Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest is now available Click Community Service grant application 2021.

If you would like to be considered for a grant, please submit the attached application by March 15th. Applications submitted after that date will not be considered for a grant in 2021.

Rotary International has adopted the following focus areas that will be considered as Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest grants are being reviewed:

Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution Disease Prevention and Treatment

Water and Sanitation Maternal and Child Health Basic Education and literacy

Economic and Community Development

The grant application should be for a specific project that will benefit the Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park community and/or neighboring communities such as the Austin Neighborhood, Maywood, Galewood Neighborhood or Berwyn. We have modified the range of grants available to be between $2,500.00 and $5,000.00.

If you have any questions regarding applications and grant criteria, e-mail or call Jim Lencioni at jlencioni@ariainc.com, 708-445-8400 x4727. Applications should be submitted via e-mail. You will receive email confirmation  once the application is received. If you don't receive a confirmation, please contact Jim Lencioni.

Recipient awards will be delivered in the late spring of 2021 at the Club's Annual Recognition Breakfast if that is possible with current Covid restrictions. (If not the checks will be mailed to the recipients ).  Recipient organizations are requested to have an individual on hand at the event to publicly accept the award. In addition, we encourage participation in our annual

fund-raiser, the Rotary Food Truck Rally, to be held in late August.  We use the funds raised at the Rally to support our community grants.

Important note: Last year's recipients (2020) are required to provide a grant report by February 20, 2021, demonstrating that (a) The project has been completed, including a description of the project's outcome (If possible please include 3 pictures of the finished project).; and (b) Rotary has been acknowledged as a donor to the organization on the donor's website, and promotional material specific to the funded project. Grant recipients who do not complete a report for 2020 will not be considered for 2021.

A funded project must be for the funding of a specific activity or project rather than to make up general operating deficiencies.

Government organizations supported by local taxpayers will generally not be funded.

Priority will be given to projects that support the greatest number of residents in the areas noted above.

Applications must be sponsored by a current member in good-standing of the Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest.

Please review the application carefully and complete it as set forth in the guidelines and instructions. Please submit the grant application via e-mail no later than March 1 5th, 2021.  I will send you confirmation of receipt once I receive the grant.

Be sure to include your Rotarian sponsor's acknowledgement that he/she is sponsoring the request. That acknowledgement can also be sent via email to me along with your application.
